Kia America Reports Best-Ever November Sales Driven By Electrified Vehicle Demand
Kia America achieved its highest November sales ever, with 70,107 units sold. This marks a 20% increase from November 2023 and the first time sales surpassed 70,000 in a single November. The Telluride SUV also set a record for monthly sales. Kia's SUVs and electrified vehicles saw significant growth, with increases of 38% and 45%, respectively, compared to last year.
Several Kia models set new records for November. The Carnival MPV, all-electric EV6, Sportage (including ICE, HEV, and PHEV), Telluride, and K4/Forte saw increases of 45%, 46%, 28%, 31%, and 12%, respectively. This growth contributed to Kia's overall success in November.
Kia recorded a remarkable milestone with a 20% year-over-year increase in retail sales for the second consecutive month. This excludes fleet sales and sets a new record for November. SUVs and electrified models made up 75% and 16% of Kia’s total sales for the month.
At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Kia unveiled the latest generation of the Sportage SUV. The 2026 Sportage offers three powertrain variants: ICE, Turbo Hybrid (HEV), and Turbo Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). It features an expansive trim range including X-Line and X-Pro Prestige trims.
The high-performance 2026 Kia EV9 GT SUV was also introduced at the show. With dual electric motors providing an estimated 501 horsepower, it can reach 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. This makes it the most powerful three-row SUV Kia has produced.
Concept Vehicles at SEMA Show
Kia showcased two concept vehicles at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. The EV9 ADVNTR CONCEPT EV SUV and PV5 WKNDR CONCEPT EV VAN represent advanced versions of Kia’s utility vehicles known for versatility and comfort.
The concepts highlight future capabilities in adaptability, utility, and organisation while focusing on innovation. These vehicles are designed to meet diverse consumer needs with their rugged yet comfortable designs.
