John Cappella To Lead As New COO At Porsche Cars North America
John Cappella has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Porsche Cars North America (PCNA). He will report to Timo Resch, the President and CEO. John previously served as President and CEO of Porsche Cars Canada since September 2022. He is familiar with PCNA, having spent three years as Vice President, Area East.
Joe Lawrence, who has been with Porsche for 15 years, will leave PCNA on July 2, 2024. Joe has decided to pursue his passion for the outdoors and his classic 968. Reflecting on Joe's tenure, Timo Resch stated: "I cannot adequately express the difference Joe has made to our business in more than a decade leading our operations. He leaves PCNA on a high, with record customer satisfaction, sales results and investment in our business."
John Cappella expressed his excitement about rejoining PCNA: "I’m honoured to be rejoining the fantastic and passionate team at PCNA and to lead the operational side of the business at a fascinating time at Porsche. With four new model lines being launched so far this year, the pace and diversity of new cars being introduced is unprecedented."

Porsche Cars North America Overview
Porsche Cars North America (PCNA), established in 1984, is headquartered in Atlanta since 1998. It serves as the exclusive U.S. importer of various Porsche models including the 911, 718 Boxster, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera, and Taycan. The company operates two Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
The Atlanta campus features two driver development tracks totaling 1.6 miles, a business center, Restaurant 356, and houses Porsche Classic's U.S. headquarters. The Los Angeles complex includes an educational track with eight modules totaling 4.1 miles, a business center, Restaurant 917, and Porsche Motorsport North America's headquarters.
John Cappella's Background
John joined Porsche Cars Canada in September 2022 after serving three years as Vice President for Area East at PCNA. He began his career with Porsche in 2011 as Director of Network Development at Porsche Cars Canada Ltd., later becoming Managing Director of Porsche Centre North Toronto in 2016.
