Jeep Unveils All-Electric Wagoneer S At Detroit's Rocket Mortgage Classic
The Jeep® Wagoneer S Launch Edition, Jeep's first fully electric global vehicle, will make its public debut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This annual PGA TOUR event is set for June 25-30 at the Detroit Golf Club. Tickets for the tournament are available on the Rocket Mortgage Classic website.
Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, expressed excitement about unveiling the vehicle. "The Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition has been revealed in photos and videos around the world, and now it’s set to make its public debut," he said. "We couldn’t be more excited to give Detroit fans the very first chance to see and get inside our very first all-electric vehicle coming to the U.S. at the Rocket Mortgage Classic this week."
During the tournament, Jeep will have a display at The Grove featuring the Wagoneer S Launch Edition, alongside the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer models. Attendees can explore these vehicles with on-site product specialists and even reserve their own Wagoneer S in just three clicks. Those who reserve on-site will receive a special gift while supplies last.
The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition boasts impressive specifications. It offers over 300 miles of range per charge, 600 horsepower, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.4 seconds with 617 lb.-ft of torque. This model is expected to arrive in the U.S. and Canada by late 2024 before becoming available globally.
The Rocket Mortgage Classic made history in 2019 as Detroit's first PGA TOUR event. It has positively impacted the city through its "Changing the Course" campaign, which aims to end Detroit's digital divide and ensure digital accessibility for all residents.
The event has received numerous accolades, including "Best Special Event" for AREA 313 Celebrity Challenge and "Best Tournament Sales." It also earned the "Fair Way Award" twice for its diversity and inclusion initiatives.
