Jeep Wagoneer Secures 2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick With Stellar Performance
The 2023-24 Jeep® Wagoneer has achieved a TOP SAFETY PICK rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This accolade is a testament to the vehicle's robust design and advanced safety features. Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand – North America, highlighted the dedication of engineers in integrating state-of-the-art technology into the Wagoneer.
The Jeep Wagoneer received "good" ratings in key physical crash tests conducted by IIHS. These tests included small overlap front, moderate overlap front (original test), and side impact evaluations. To qualify as a TOP SAFETY PICK, vehicles must achieve "good" ratings in these categories and have "good" or "acceptable" headlights as standard equipment on all trim levels.

The Wagoneer's pedestrian front-crash prevention feature, Full-Speed Collision Warning with Active Braking, also earned a "good" rating. This system performed well in scenarios involving an adult crossing a street at night and a child emerging from behind an obstruction in daylight. The feature is standard on the Wagoneer and uses camera and radar sensors to detect pedestrians or cyclists in real time.
Additional Safety Features
Other standard safety features on the Jeep Wagoneer include Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection and Trailer Sway Control. These features contribute to creating a secure environment for drivers and passengers.
