Jeep Wagoneer, Alfa Romeo Giulia Excel In J.D. Power APEAL Study; Ram Earns High Marks
Stellantis has maintained its strong performance in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. The company achieved two segment wins, three podium finishes, and continued dominance among truck brands.
The Jeep Wagoneer was rated the most appealing large SUV by verified owners in the 2024 study. Meanwhile, the Alfa Romeo Giulia topped the compact premium car segment. Additionally, the new Alfa Romeo Tonale secured third place among compact premium SUVs.
Ram's consistent performance in APEAL is noteworthy. The Ram 1500 finished second among large light-duty pickups, while the Ram 2500/3500 models tied for second place among heavy-duty pickups. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Ram has ranked second among mass-market brands.
"If you consider the broad range of vehicles that contributed to these results, it’s clear that creativity is baked into our existence as a company," said Bill Kendell, senior vice-president of North America customer experience at Stellantis. "We know how to design and build engaging vehicles, so we’re going to continue developing that knowledge in pursuit of products that are even more inspired."
The J.D. Power U.S. APEAL Study evaluates customer feedback on various attributes of current-model vehicles, including exterior styling and fuel efficiency. This comprehensive assessment helps gauge overall vehicle appeal from an owner's perspective.
Ram's Continued Success
Ram's impressive showing in APEAL follows its historic finish atop the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study. These achievements underscore Ram's commitment to delivering high-quality and appealing vehicles to its customers.
The Jeep Wagoneer's success in APEAL complements its growing market value reputation. The vehicle has also maintained a two-year streak in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards.
Alfa Romeo's Strong Performance
Alfa Romeo's performance in this year's study highlights its focus on style and performance. With the Giulia winning its segment and the Tonale securing a podium finish, Alfa Romeo continues to demonstrate its commitment to producing attractive and high-performing vehicles.
