Isuzu Produces 1 Lakh Vehicles In India: A New Milestone Achieved

Isuzu Motors India has achieved a significant milestone by producing 1 lakh vehicles at its advanced manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. This accomplishment highlights Isuzu's dedication to the Indian market and signifies its growing influence in the automotive sector. The milestone was celebrated with the rollout of the popular Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross model, known for its durability and reliability.

Since commencing operations in 2016, Isuzu Motors India has made substantial progress. The company launched Phase-II operations in 2020, introducing a state-of-the-art Press Shop facility and engine assembly plant. Over 14,00,000 pressed parts have been produced since then. This expansion aligns with Isuzu's long-term 'Make in India' strategy, strengthening domestic operations and enhancing global reach.

In response to increasing market demand, Isuzu Motors India has doubled vehicle and engine production over the past two years. This growth demonstrates the company's adaptability to changing customer needs while maintaining global quality standards. A notable aspect of their workforce is that 22% are talented women, showcasing Isuzu's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Dr. N. Yuvaraj, Secretary to Government, Industries Commerce & Food Processing Department, Andhra Pradesh, was the chief guest at the event celebrating this achievement. Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder & MD of Sri City, along with Makoto Sado, Chairman of Sri City Japanese Company Group, were guests of honour.

He highlighted that 100% of their production workforce are diploma engineers who adhere to Isuzu's global manufacturing standards.
