Isuzu D-Max STEEL Edition: A Groundbreaking TikTok Exclusive Launch

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross STEEL Edition has made history as the first pick-up to be launched exclusively on TikTok. With a limited production of only 300 units, this special edition has generated significant buzz on the social media platform due to its unique features. The launch took place on 21 May 2024, marking a notable moment for Isuzu UK.

Inspired by innovation, Isuzu's latest offering has captured the attention of many, particularly through its bespoke accessories and distinctive STEEL Grey Mica colour. The STEEL Edition includes unique branding inside and outside the vehicle, tailgate assist/dampener, wheel arch extensions, and a dark grey Isuzu grille emblem.

Isuzu D-Max STEEL Debuts on TikTok

Within a week of its TikTok debut, the STEEL Edition attracted substantial interest from new audiences. Over 50% of this new audience was over 35 years old, aligning well with Isuzu's demographic. The launch reached 235,000 viewers' screens, resulting in a 76% increase in followers and a 123% rise in profile views for Isuzu UK.

George Wallis, Head of Marketing at Isuzu UK, commented on the success of the launch: "It has been fascinating to run the first exclusive launch of a pick-up in the World on this platform. This launch has demonstrated that there is already strong interest in STEEL, an extremely capable pick-up with a high level of comfort and features."

The STEEL Edition will be available in two versions: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The manual version is priced at £38,495 (CVOTR), while the automatic version will cost £39,995 (CVOTR).

The Isuzu D-Max pick-up is powered by a turbo diesel engine delivering 164PS and 360Nm of torque. Each new model comes with a 125,000 mile/5-year warranty and five years of UK and European roadside assistance. The vehicle boasts towing capabilities of up to 3.5 tonnes and a maximum payload of 1,205kg.

Isuzu's focus remains on producing commercial vehicles that are tough, strong, and built to last. The D-Max meets Euro 6D emissions standards and achieves up to 39.4mpg.
