Spain And Finland Journalists Join International Van Of The Year Jury

The International Van of the Year (IVOTY) jury has announced the appointment of two new members representing Spain and Finland. Álvaro Pedroche and Miika Tokee were elected during a recent jury meeting in Frankfurt.

Álvaro Pedroche steps into a role previously held by his father, Javier, who served for over twenty-five years. Álvaro has been with TRUCK magazine in Madrid for more than a decade, starting as the community manager before advancing to director. He continues to enhance the magazine's social media and digital channels.

Miika Tokee, based in Helsinki, is a key member of the Finnish magazine Auto tekniikka ja kuljetus. He specializes in light commercial vehicles and pick-up trucks. Miika has also been involved in organizing the annual Arctic Van Test, which many jury members have participated in.

Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of IVOTY, welcomed the new members: "Congratulations to Álvaro and Miika on their election to the jury. We know the two journalists well, having met over the years at various events, and they will be a great addition to our organisation. We look forward to their participation in jury activities."

Sweeney also expressed gratitude towards Javier Pedroche for his long service: "To Javier, we say thanks for his lengthy and loyal service and wish him good health on his retirement."

Recent Changes

The IVOTY jury continues to evolve with new appointees. Last winter saw new members joining from Belgium and Slovenia, reflecting the organisation's ongoing development.
