India's Leading Car Exports in February 2024: A Comprehensive Overview

India has proven to be a great manufacturing hub of vehicles for the export market. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors, and Honda are fighting for the top spot on the list for the most cars exported from India in February 2024.

When compared to YoY exports of vehicles, February 2024 experienced a 10.51% decrease with 60,767 units exported from February 2023, which had 67,907 units exported. However, Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx and Honda’s Elevate have been showing significant growth in the global market.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno (5,110 units)

At the top of the list with an 8.41% share of the total number of cars exported, we have Maruti Suzuki with the Baleno. Maruti exported 5,110 units of the Baleno in February 2024, showing an impressive 43.86% YoY growth for Maruti, with February of 2023 having exported 3,552 units of the Baleno.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire (4,474 units)

Taking second spot as well, with 7.36% of the total number of cars exported, Maruti exported 4,474 units of the Dzire in February 2024, showcasing a 90.22% YoY increase with 2,353 units being exported the previous year.

Maruti Jimny (4,406 units)

Maruti Suzuki takes home third place with all three podium spots, exporting 4,406 units in February 2024 which accounts for 7.25% of the total number of cars exported. The Jimny has expressed a 4,40,500% growth in YoY exports when compared to February 2023.

Honda Elevate (3,610 units)

Our first newcomer on the list, the Honda Elevate, takes fourth spot on the list with a 5.94% share of the total number of cars exported. The Elevate has been growing rapidly in popularity since its launch in September 2023, with 3,610 units being exported in February 2024.

Maruti Suzuki Swift (3,590 units)

Closely placed to fourth place with only a 20 unit difference, once again we have Maruti Suzuki with its Swift in fifth place, which exported 3,590 units in February 2024. Maruti has recorded an impressive 96.93% YoY growth when compared to the 1,823 units exported in February 2023. The Swift holds a 5.91% share of the total number of cars exported.

Hyundai Grand i10 (3,480 units)

Hyundai’s first car on the list takes the sixth spot with the Grand i10 which holds a 5.73% share of the total number of cars exported, with 3,480 units sold. The Grand i10 has experienced a YoY growth of 43.51% from February 2023 exporting 2,425 units.

Hyundai Verna (3,475 units)

The seventh spot with 5.72% of the total number of cars exported, is held comfortably by Hyundai’s Verna which exported 3,475 units in February 2024. That is a 54.93% YoY growth for the Verna with February the previous year having recorded 2,243 units exported.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (3,204 units)

Exporting 3,204 units with a 5.27% share of the total number of cars exported, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara takes eighth place on the top 10 list, showcasing an impressive 170.61% YoY growth with 1,184 units exported in February 2023.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx (2,443 units)

Our second newcomer on the list, the Fronx from Maruti Suzuki exported 2,443 units in February 2024. The Maruti Fronx accounts for 4.02% of the total number of cars exported from India.

Honda City (2,290 units)

Holding a 3.77% share of the total number of cars exported from India and a 197.40% YoY growth, the Honda City takes the last position on the list at number ten. February 2024 exports 2,290 units and February 2023 recorded 770 units exported.
