India Bike Week 2024: Celebrating A Decade Of Motorcycling In Goa With New Initiatives
India Bike Week (IBW), renowned as the country's foremost motorcycling festival, is all set to launch its highly anticipated next edition, aptly named "The Next Chapter." This event marks a significant milestone, celebrating a decade of bringing together countless riders and adventure enthusiasts from around the world.
The festival is known for its expansive and exhilarating gatherings, and this year, it promises an even more vibrant atmosphere and a novel spatial design. The theme, "Everyone as One," encapsulates the inclusive spirit of IBW, aiming to unite all participants in a grand celebration of motorcycling passion.
Martin da Costa, CEO & Founder of Seventy EMG, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, "So this year at the 11th India Bike Week, we're entering a new decade, celebrating all of India's bikers – boys, girls, men and women and their shared love of motorcycling. In 2024, IBW is absolutely 'Everyone as One'." This sentiment underscores the festival's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive motorcycling culture.
Celebrating a Decade of Passion and Community
Since its inception, IBW has become the premier gathering spot for the motorcycling community in India, welcoming enthusiasts of all motorcycle brands from both the country and abroad. The festival's ten-year anniversary is being commemorated with various special initiatives, including the creation of a custom Jameson sidecar motorcycle by Bombay Custom Works.
This unique motorcycle will be awarded to one lucky winner at IBW 2024. Moreover, the event will feature an expanded list of participating brands, such as Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, and newcomers like Brixton, all contributing to a richer and more varied experience for attendees.
A New Initiative: IBW Flat Track Race
This edition of IBW introduces the "IBW Flat Track Race," a thrilling new competition in partnership with Harley-Davidson. The race will utilize custom-built Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycles by Rajputana Customs and is affiliated with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). The race follows all FMSCI rules and safety guidelines and includes qualifying rounds on December 6 & 7, 2024, with the Semi Finals & Final Round on December 7.
The top three winners will share an impressive total prize of Rs 1 million. Ravi Avalur, M-D Harley-Davidson India, expressed his excitement about the initiative, "Harley-Davidson's association with Flat Track racing goes back almost a century... We have great hopes that this would be the start of a new chapter in the Indian racing scene and we are very excited to come on board."
In addition to the Flat Track Race, IBW 2024 will feature other exhilarating tracks, including the Dirt Drag and a gamified track with various challenges, offering participants a wide range of racing experiences.
Reise Moto has been announced as the official Tyre & Riding Gear Partner for IBW 2024. This partnership aims to support and grow community initiatives, such as Chai & Pakoda rides and racing activities. Reise Moto's collaboration with IBW will bolster the Flat Track Race and introduce two additional racetracks – Dirt Drag and Hill Climb – enhancing the racing component of the festival.
