The #24 BMW M Hybrid V8 started from ninth position but faced early setbacks due to an unavoidable collision. It rejoined the lead lap during a late safety car phase. Eng was in third place but had to pit again due to a slow puncture, ultimately finishing fourth.

The sister car, number 25, began strongly from third place but retired after four hours due to fuel supply issues. Connor De Phillippi, Nick Yelloly, and Maxime Martin were unable to continue because of this technical problem.

Paul Miller Racing's triumph in the Endurance Cup was significant. They won despite finishing seventh in the race. This championship includes endurance races at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis, and Road Atlanta.

In the GTD class, Turner Motorsport's #96 BMW M4 GT3 finished tenth. Robby Foley, Patrick Gallagher, and Jake Walker drove this car during the race.

Pilot Challenge Results

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season finale occurred on Friday at Michelin Raceway. CarBAhn Motorsports' Sean McAlister and Jeff Westphal secured third place with their #39 BMW M4 GT4. Turner Motorsport's two BMW M4 GT4s finished tenth and 17th respectively.

Andreas Roos of BMW M Motorsport expressed disappointment over narrowly missing the podium with car number 24. He acknowledged that technical failure for number 25 was unfortunate but highlighted positive aspects like their double victory in Indianapolis.

Reflections on the Season

Bobby Rahal of BMW M Team RLL shared mixed feelings about not reaching the podium at Petit Le Mans. He praised his team's competitiveness throughout highs and lows during races this season while looking forward optimistically towards 2025.

"It was a long race with a lot happening for us right from the start," said Jesse Krohn about their performance in car #24 which finished fourth after recovering from being lapped earlier on.

Nick Yelloly reflected positively despite retiring early due to technical issues: "Petit Le Mans is a fantastic event...the traffic on track was crazy but still fun."

Neil Verhagen expressed joy over winning his first IMSA season title with Paul Miller Racing: "To win my first IMSA season title...is fantastic."
