Hyundai Celebrates Double Victory At The 2024 Business Car Awards With KONA And IONIQ 5 N
Hyundai has achieved significant recognition at the 2024 Business Car Awards, securing two major accolades. The Hyundai KONA and KONA Electric were awarded Best Compact SUV, surpassing popular models from well-known manufacturers. Meanwhile, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N continued its impressive streak by winning the Driver’s Choice award, outperforming more expensive luxury and sports car brands.
The Business Car Awards are highly regarded in the UK fleet sector, celebrating excellence among fleet cars and operators. The awards ceremony took place at London’s Hilton Bankside Hotel, with members of the Business Car editorial team presenting the honours. Martyn Collins, Editor of Business Car, praised the second-generation Hyundai KONA for its petrol, hybrid, and electric options, spacious interior, and distinctive design.
Since their debut in 2023 showrooms, the Hyundai KONA and KONA Electric have been well-received by both media and customers. Their futuristic design, comfortable interiors, and advanced technology have earned them numerous accolades. The KONA was named Auto Express Car of the Year and Medium Car of the Year at the Company Car and Van awards in 2024.
The IONIQ 5 N is designed for driving pleasure with motorsport-inspired technologies from Hyundai’s N division. It has received several prestigious awards this year, including World Performance Car in the World Car Awards and Best Performance Car of 2024 by Auto Express and Autocar. It was also recognised as the world’s best electric performance car by CAR magazine.
Tim White, Head of Fleet at Hyundai, expressed satisfaction with these achievements. He noted that Hyundai offers a compelling product range that meets fleet market demands. "Hyundai has shown great leadership in electrification," he stated. Their vehicles are ideal for businesses aiming to reduce carbon footprints without compromising driving experience.
