Hyundai Santa Fe Recognised As Finalist For 2025 North American Utility Of The Year Award
The Hyundai Santa Fe has been highlighted as one of the top three new utility vehicles for 2025 by an esteemed independent jury. This recognition was announced at AutoMobility LA 2024, following the latest voting round by the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) jury. The Santa Fe's bold design and rugged capabilities make it ready for any adventure.
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing America in Montgomery, Alabama, assembles the Santa Fe. Olabisi Boyle, Hyundai Motor North America's senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy, stated, "Hyundai continues to develop out-of-the-box vehicles, and being named as a NACTOY finalist underscores our creativity and commitment to North America’s ultra-competitive SUV market."

The fifth-generation Santa Fe is designed under the 'Open For More' concept. It features a longer wheelbase for a spacious interior and an expansive liftgate for easy loading or enjoying views. Premium options include a Relaxation Comfort driver's seat with leg rest, UV-C sterilization compartment, dual wireless charging, standard three-row seating, and a panoramic curved infotainment display.
Jeff Gilbert, NACTOY president, remarked on the diverse competition in the Utility of the Year category: "The Utility of the Year category pits two very different electric vehicles against a groundbreaking gasoline-powered family utility. All are great vehicles, but all represent very unique parts of the utility market. Any one can be a winner."
The seventh-generation Santa Fe has earned several accolades since its debut. It was named Top Midsize SUV in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S APEAL Study and received recognition from WardsAuto as one of the 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX awards. Additionally, it was recently titled Best U.S.-Built SUV by American Cars and Racing.
The NACTOY jury consists of 50 independent journalists from leading automotive outlets across the U.S. and Canada. These jurors evaluate eligible new vehicles throughout the year to identify standout models in their segments based on innovation, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction, user experience, and value.
