Hyundai Motor Introduces IONIQ 9: Spacious All-Electric SUV Redefining EV Design

Hyundai Motor Company has revealed teaser images of its latest all-electric SUV, the IONIQ 9. This three-row vehicle combines aerodynamic efficiency with visual appeal and offers generous space for passengers. The full details will be shared during its global debut in November.

The IONIQ 9 represents Hyundai's first foray into large electric SUVs, symbolised by the number '9' in its name. This model builds on the success of previous models like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, promising a spacious interior thanks to Hyundai's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Hyundai Launches IONIQ 9 All-Electric SUV

The design of the IONIQ 9 is inspired by boats, featuring a single-curved roofline and an extended wheelbase to ensure ample room for all passengers, including those in the third row. The exterior design incorporates character lines reminiscent of traditional Korean clothing, Hanbok.

Hyundai's signature Parametric Pixels lighting design is evident in the front lamps, while the multi-spoke wheels complement the SUV's dynamic and elegant appearance. These elements are part of what Hyundai calls its 'Aerosthetic' design approach.

Starting from October 30, Hyundai will release teaser content on social media leading up to the IONIQ 9's world premiere in November. More information about this event will be shared soon.

The launch of the IONIQ 9 follows Hyundai's recent achievements, including record-breaking performance last year and producing its 100 millionth vehicle this year. The milestone vehicle was an EV, highlighting Hyundai's commitment to electrification.

Commitment to Electrification

Hyundai aims to sell 2 million EVs by 2030 as part of its dedication to electrification. The company continues to push forward with zero-emission vehicles using advanced hydrogen fuel cell and EV technologies.

Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Company operates in over 200 countries with more than 120,000 employees. The brand focuses on real-world mobility challenges under its vision 'Progress for Humanity'.

Future Mobility Solutions

Hyundai invests in cutting-edge technologies like robotics and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) to develop innovative mobility solutions. The company also pursues open innovation to introduce future mobility services aimed at a sustainable future.

The IONIQ 9 signifies a new era for electric vehicles, offering both comfort and spaciousness. As Hyundai continues its journey towards smart mobility solutions, it remains committed to introducing industry-leading zero-emission vehicles.
