Hyundai Unveils Images of New Restaurant 'Na Oh' by Three-Michelin-Star Chef Corey LeeHyundai Motor Group has released the first official images of its highly anticipated new restaurant, 'Na Oh', in collaboration with renowned three-Michelin-star Chef Corey Lee. The restaurant is set to open its doors to the public on June 15, 2024, at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS). Na Oh aims to provide a unique dining experience that combines authentic Korean cuisine with cutting-edge innovation.Chef Corey Lee, known for his fine dining establishment Benu in San Francisco, where he earned three Michelin stars, will introduce a brand-new casual dining concept in Singapore. The goal is to offer an inclusive and accessible approach to quality Korean cuisine. Na Oh will feature a 4-course prix fixe menu, with the option for guests to choose the jinjitsang, a Korean meal setting served with various accompaniments.Na Oh, which translates to 'moving from inside out' in Korean, is more than just a restaurant. It will serve as a cultural hub for Korean cuisine, craft, and design, representing a collaboration of diverse Korean artisans. Led by Chef Corey Lee's culinary vision, Na Oh will serve a seasonal menu that references traditional Korean cuisine while incorporating modern techniques and seasonal ingredients. The first summer menu at Na Oh will include dishes such as Mulhwe (seafood in an icy kimchi broth), Naengmyun (cold beef noodles), and Samgyetang (ginseng-flavored stuffed chicken). The Samgyetang dish aims to evoke the flavor of homemade broth and slow cooking, while the Naengmyun will feature made-to-order buckwheat noodles with a broth crafted from dongchimi and long-simmered beef stock. One unique aspect of Na Oh is its use of ingredients grown in HMGICS's own vertical Smart Farm. The farm produces up to nine different crops, including ice plant, red coral lettuce, swiss chard, mustard, kale, romaine lettuce, and mizuna. This seed-to-table experience ensures that the dishes at Na Oh are meticulously crafted using fresh and high-quality ingredients.Chef Corey Lee expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Hyundai, stating, "It has been inspiring to bring together the innovation that Hyundai offers at HMGICS with traditional cooking techniques that we have reimagined for the menu. I hope to bring a fresh, new approach to Korean cuisine in Singapore, a country renowned for its food lovers."Na Oh aims to become a culinary landmark in Singapore, celebrating both Korean culture and Hyundai's innovative spirit. The restaurant will operate from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner and is open to the general public. Advanced booking is recommended to secure a table.Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is the company's first global open innovation hub and testbed.
