Hyundai Motor Group Partners With Google To Enhance Vehicle Navigation And Software Capabilities

Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with Google Maps Platform to enhance navigation in its vehicles. This collaboration will initially benefit Kia passenger cars in North America. The integration aims to improve the Group's software capabilities and accelerate the development of software-defined vehicles (SDV).

The partnership introduces Google Maps Platform’s extensive database, covering 250 million places globally, to Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles. This integration will provide drivers with detailed information about locations, including business hours and reviews.

Hyundai and Google Collaborate on Vehicle Software

By incorporating Google Maps Platform’s Places API, Hyundai Motor Group aims to enhance navigation accuracy. This feature will offer drivers up-to-date details about various locations worldwide. Kia drivers in North America will be the first to experience these improvements.
