Hyundai IONIQ 5 Achieves Guinness World Record For Greatest Altitude Change By An Electric Car
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recently achieved a monumental milestone with its flagship electric SUV, the Hyundai IONIQ 5, by setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title. This title was for the 'Greatest altitude change by an electric car', showcasing the vehicle's exceptional capabilities and resilience.
The record-breaking journey showcased the IONIQ 5 transitioning from the highest drivable point in India, Umling La in Leh Ladakh, at an elevation of 5799m (19,024 ft) above sea level, to the lowest point in Kuttanad, Kerala, which stands 3 meters below sea level. This significant altitude change of 5802 meters was achieved over a challenging and extensive 4900 km journey, completed in just 14 days.
