The Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric SUV, renowned for its numerous accolades, is set to captivate more buyers. It now features a new colour, Titan Grey, alongside enhancements aimed at boosting its appeal. The Hyundai Ioniq 5, together with the Kona, represents Hyundai's venture into the EV market.

Introduced as an addition to the existing palette of Gravity Gold Matte, Optic White, and Midnight Black Pearl, the Titan Grey aims to provide a fresh look to the Ioniq 5's exterior, complemented by its Obsidian Black and Dark Pebble Grey interiors.

Advanced Features and Specifications

The Ioniq 5 is built on Hyundai's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), enabling fast charging and a high driving range. It stands out for its spacious interior and smooth handling.

Buyers interested in this model can place their orders through Hyundai's direct-to-consumer portal with a down payment of Rs 1 lakh. Powered by a 72.6 kWh battery, the Ioniq 5 delivers 214 hp and 250 Nm of torque.

It accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 7.6 seconds and boasts an ARAI-certified range of 631km. Additionally, the Ioniq 5 N recently secured the 2024 World Performance Car title, marking the fourth major win for the lineup at the World Car Awards in the past three years.

Facelift and New Variants

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has undergone a facelift, which was globally unveiled in March 2024. This update introduced three variants: standard, N Line, and N, each packed with new features and enhancements.

Among these are wireless charging pads, a repositioned touch-sensitive panel for climate controls, and twin 12.3-inch digital screens. Comfort is also a priority, with heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a parking assist feature.

The 2024 model is equipped with an 84 kWh battery, though its range is yet to be disclosed. Safety features include a hands-on detection steering wheel, lane keeping assist 2, remote smart parking assist 2, and multiple parking sensors. The introduction of a digital key, built-in camera, and remote-controlled folding seats in the second row further enhance its appeal.

DriveSpark Thinks

In the competitive EV market, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 faces stiff competition from models like the Kia EV6, Hyundai Kona Electric, BYD Atto 3, and BYD E6. Its latest updates and the new Titan Grey colour scheme are aimed at making it a more attractive option for potential EV buyers.
