Hyundai Inster Cross Revealed As Rugged-Looking City EV
South Korean carmaker Hyundai has revealed the Inster Cross EV. The all-new Hyundai Inster Cross is a more rugged, tougher-looking version of the Inster EV (Casper EV in its home market of South Korea) that went on sale in Europe earlier this year.
The changes to turn the Inster into the Hyundai Inster Cross are purely cosmetic with the new EV sporting chunkier bumpers at the front and the rear. The new bumpers also come with integrated skid plates that are finished in grey.

Other changes to the looks come in the form of black body cladding on the sides and 17-inch alloy wheels that are unique to the new Inster Cross. The all-new Inster Cross sports roof rails as part of its standard kit and owners will be able to opt for a roof basket to store everything needed for everyday errands, outdoor sports, and camping trips.
The new Hyundai Inster Cross EV also sports an exclusive Amazonas Green Matte paint scheme as well as five single-tone colours available for the Inster - Atlas White, Unbleached Ivory, Aero Silver Matte, Abyss Black Pearl, and Tomboy Khaki - some of which are offered with a blacked-out roof.

The cabin of the Inster Cross also features quite a few unique elements that separate it from the regular Inster. These include grey cloth upholstery with lime green accents. The unique trim is complimented by lime green accents on the dashboard. All four seats of the Inster Cross can be folded flat while the rear seats can also slide and recline.
There are no changes on the powertrain side with the Hyundai Inster Cross sporting the Inster's Long Range option as standard. This setup features a 49kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a range of 360km on a single charge and powers an electric motor producing 113bhp and 147Nm. The battery pack charges from 10 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes and supports V2L.

The Hyundai Inster Cross also comes packed with a host of safety features including an ADAS package that includes the likes of Highway Driving Assist 1.5, Smart Cruise Control, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5.
