Hyundai Hope On Wheels Donates To Community Health Initiatives At Alexandria Hyundai Grand Re-Opening
Hyundai and Hyundai Hope On Wheels have made significant contributions to community health initiatives in Alexandria, Virginia. This was done in celebration of the grand re-opening of Alexandria Hyundai. The donations aim to support mental health programs for women and clinical care for children diagnosed with cancer.
Alexandria Celebrates Women, a volunteer-run nonprofit, received a donation from Hyundai. This funding will aid mental health programs for women in need. Pat Miller, chair of Alexandria Celebrates Women, expressed gratitude for the support, stating, "We are so grateful for this tremendous donation from Hyundai Hope to help Alexandria women with mental health issues."
The nonprofit organisation focuses on raising funds for the Alexandria Domestic Violence Safehouse. It also celebrates the achievements of Virginia's women throughout history. The donation is part of Hyundai's corporate social responsibility initiative known as Hyundai Hope.
Hyundai Hope On Wheels also donated to Georgetown University's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. This contribution will enhance clinical care for children battling cancer. Georgetown Lombardi is renowned for its compassionate and advanced cancer treatment provided by internationally recognised clinician-scientists.
For over 26 years, Hyundai Hope On Wheels has been a prominent supporter in the fight against pediatric cancer. It has donated more than $250 million to various institutions across the United States. The organisation is one of the largest nonprofit funders of pediatric cancer research nationwide.

Brandon Ramirez, director of corporate social responsibility at Hyundai Motor North America, highlighted their dedication to community health initiatives. He stated, "Hyundai is proud to celebrate the grand re-opening of Alexandria Hyundai by investing in local community health initiatives." He added that building stronger communities aligns with their vision of progress for humanity.
