Hyundai Celebrates Quadruple Victory At The 2024 Auto Express New Car Awards
The Hyundai TUCSON has been named Best Mid-Size SUV at the 2024 Auto Express New Car Awards, leading a group of four Hyundai models that received top honours. The awards ceremony took place at Dartmouth House in London’s Mayfair, highlighting the widespread appeal of Hyundai's diverse range of vehicles.
Auto Express is a prominent UK car news and reviews publication, both in print and online. Its New Car Awards, established in 1993, are judged by experienced road testers who evaluate cars based on real-world buyer needs across 25 categories. This year marks the fourth consecutive win for the TUCSON as Best Mid-Size SUV, with starting prices from £32,000.
The Hyundai KONA Electric was awarded Best Small Company Car, following its overall Car of the Year win in 2023. Judges praised its sharp design and affordability, with prices starting at £34,995. The IONIQ 5 N also continued its success streak by being named Best Performance Car.
Paul Barker, Auto Express Editor, commented on Hyundai's achievements: "With Hyundai, the variety impresses as much as the quality – to be top of the list in so many different areas of the market illustrates the breadth of ability across the company’s line-up."
The Hyundai i10 retained its title as Best City Car due to its smart styling, generous features, and reasonable pricing. Available from £16,030, it continues to attract buyers in the city car segment. This model's consistent performance underscores Hyundai's strength in producing reliable and appealing small cars.
Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai & Genesis UK, stated: "Winning four major awards from a title as respected as Auto Express underlines yet again what a compelling line-up of cars Hyundai has to offer customers in the UK."
