Hyundai Creta EV Spotted: What We Know So Far
The Hyundai Creta EV, expected to launch in early 2025, is gaining attention as multiple test mules have been spotted. The latest sighting comes from Delhi, captured by automotive enthusiast Sitanshu. These mules feature a different camouflage, hinting they might be close to production-ready status.
Design and Features
While camouflaged, the Creta EV maintains a similar silhouette and lighting elements as the ICE Creta. This conversion approach is strategic, leveraging Creta's strong market presence. The ICE Creta was recently facelifted, with updates that will carry over to the EV version.

Key exterior features include a front charging port, sequential turn indicators, horizontally stacked LED lamps, and a chiselled bonnet. The side profile will feature aero alloy wheels, designed to reduce drag and improve range. The rear will have connected LED tail lamps, a curvy spoiler, and a high-mounted stop lamp.
Interior Features
Inside, some features could be borrowed from other Hyundai electric cars, such as the 4-dot steering wheel seen in the Ioniq 5. Features from the ICE Creta will include a dual screen setup, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, and front ventilated seats. Additional features are a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS with a bumper-mounted radar module.

Performance and Range
While official details are yet to be confirmed, the Creta EV is expected to offer a certified range of around 450km. An advanced regenerative system will help enhance this range.
Power is likely to come from a 45-kWh battery pack, driving a front axle-mounted motor. If similar to the new-gen Kona, the motor could deliver 138bhp and 255Nm of torque.
DriveSpark Thinks
Hyundai aims to introduce at least five new EVs in India by 2030, starting with the Creta EV. Production is expected to take place at Hyundai's Chennai facility, with battery packs potentially sourced locally from Exide. Hyundai and Kia have recently partnered with Exide for the local production of EV batteries.
