Hyundai's Game-Changer: Creta EV Begins Production In December
The automotive landscape in India is gearing up a significant shift with Hyundai's latest announcement. The South Korean auto giant is to introduce an all-electric version of its SUV, the Creta. This move marks a pivotal moment for Hyundai, as the Creta EV is poised to begin production in December this year promising an eco-friendly alternative to the conventional internal combustion engine variant.
Design and Features
The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, deriving design from the facelifted Creta has been spotted with distinctive electric vehicle features. It showcases a blanked-off grille, a bumper, aerodynamically efficient alloy wheels, and a charging port on the fender.

Inside, the Hyundai Creta EV is expected to offer a slew of advanced features including dual displays for multimedia and instrument panel, dual-zone climate control, a new steering wheel, a steering column-mounted drive selector, a revamped centre console and AC vents, a sunroof, and fresh seat upholstery.
Safety and Technology

This includes a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, six airbags, and front and rear parking sensors. These features underscore Hyundai's commitment to safety and innovation in its EV.
DriveSpark Thinks
While specific details about the battery pack and performance metrics are yet to be officially released, expectations are high. The Creta EV might be powered by a battery ranging between 50kWh to kWh, aiming for a driving range exceeding 500km on a full charge.
This would make the Creta EV as a strong contender in the electric SUV market, going head to head with models the MG ZS EV, Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, Tata Cur EV, and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
The introduction of the Creta EV not onlyizes Hyundai's push towards electrification in India but also offers consumers a more sustainable driving option. As the production kick-starts in December, anticipation for this electric SUV is set to rise, signaling an interesting phase for the Indian automotive market.
