2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Is A Possibility: Tight Competition & Stricter Safety Norms
The Hyundai Creta remains a top-selling model in India. However, the competition is closing up and customers are demanding cars with 5-Star safety ratings. As such, it wouldn't be surprising to see an updated Creta in the future.
Expected Features & Safety
Hyundai is now focussing on safety, a testament to which is the new Verna's 5-star crash test rating. As such, updates to the Creta SUV will help the model score a perfect 5-Star safety rating.

Creta Update
The new Creta's design is similar to the Palisade, with a new grille, headlamps, and front bumper. The side profile remains mostly familiar, but new alloy wheels make things interesting. We expect the upcoming model to have a minor design update.
Interior changes may include a new dashboard material, a sharper infotainment system, new upholstery colours, and a few additional features in the lower trims with the inclusion of features such as a 360-degree camera, multi-coloured ambient lighting, and a digital instrument cluster.
Engine & Transmission
The Creta facelift is expected to feature the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 157bhp and 253Nm of torque. Transmission options should include a manual and DCT gearbox.
On top of that, the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines are expected to be retained with manual and automatic transmission options. As such, fuel efficiency figures are likely to remain the same.
DriveSpark Thinks
The launch of the Hyundai Creta facelift is not high on Hyundai's priority list, however, an updated model with better safety ratings by the year's end will definitely help Hyundai stand its ground when Tata launches its Curvv SUV in the near future.
