Hyundai Continues Partnership With Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia To Enhance Child Passenger Safety Initiatives
Hyundai Motor America has strengthened its partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) by donating $50,000 to support their Child Safety Seat Program. This collaboration has already provided over 1,400 car seats to families in need since it began in 2022. The latest contribution will fund approximately 600 additional car seats.
Cole Stutz, chief safety officer at Hyundai Motor North America, stated, "Hyundai is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety that extends beyond our vehicles and into our communities." He emphasized their pride in promoting child passenger safety through this partnership with CHOP.
The recent child passenger safety event organized by Hyundai and CHOP featured certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST). These experts guided parents and caregivers on the correct installation and use of car seats. They also conducted detailed inspections for expiration dates, manufacturer recalls, and proper fit.
Families who required new car seats received replacements during the event to ensure maximum safety for their children. Gina Duchossois, injury prevention manager at CHOP, expressed gratitude for Hyundai’s support. She said, "With the generous support of Hyundai Motor America, CHOP’s injury prevention program will provide car seats to families, provide education, and empower them to correctly use their seat during every ride."
