Hyundai Motors India Teams Up With Charge Zone For 100 EV Charging Stations
Hyundai Motors India is set to install 60 kW DC fast chargers at 100 of its dealerships across the country. This initiative is part of Hyundai Motor India Limited's (HMIL) broader strategy to support electric vehicle (EV) adoption in line with the Government of India's policies.
Currently, HMIL has 34 EV fast charging stations and 19 dealerships equipped with DC 60 kW public EV chargers. The new partnership will add another 100 charging stations, making it more convenient for EV users. These stations can be accessed via the 'myHyundai' app or the 'ChargeZone' app.

Partnership to Boost EV Infrastructure
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head of Corporate Planning at HMIL, and Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of Charge Zone. The signing took place at HMIL's headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana.
This collaboration aims to enhance public EV charging infrastructure, facilitating easier travel within cities and between them. Charging stations will be set up at Hyundai dealerships located in urban areas and along highways.
Enhanced User Experience
HMIL also operates 15 fast charging stations across key cities and highways in nine Indian states. The "EV Charge" management system within the "myHyundai" app allows users to locate charging points, book slots, monitor remotely, and make digital payments. ChargeZone's network is integrated into this system alongside HMIL's chargers and those from third-party operators.
Kartikey Hariyani highlighted the importance of this collaboration: "Our collaboration with Hyundai aims to improve infrastructure for 4-Wheeler Electric Vehicles (BEVs), ensuring reliable and seamless access to charging stations."
Commitment to Carbon Neutrality
Jae Wan Ryu stated, "Strengthening EV charging infrastructure is crucial for promoting electric mobility and addressing range anxiety. Our partnership with ChargeZone will enhance our EV charging network, benefiting all EV users and supporting India's carbon neutrality goals."
This initiative aligns with HMIL's commitment to improving public EV infrastructure and supporting India's transition towards sustainable transportation solutions.
