Hyundai Canada Reports A Notable 25% Increase In June Sales For 2024
Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announced June sales of 12,635 units, marking a 25.1% increase from the previous year. The KONA led with 3,152 units sold, followed by the TUCSON at 3,077 units and the ELANTRA at 1,840 units. The IONIQ 5 and KONA ELECTRIC also performed well, selling 895 and 875 units respectively.
Hyundai's electrified models showed strong performance in June, with total sales of 4,264 units. This figure represents nearly 34% of the month's total sales volume. The TUCSON HEV led this category with 1,264 units sold. All three fully-electric models—Kona Electric, IONIQ 5, and IONIQ 6—saw double-digit year-over-year gains.

In Q2 of 2024, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. sold a total of 40,286 units. This marks a significant increase of 26.7% compared to Q2 in the previous year. For the first half of the year, Hyundai Canada sold 66,008 units, an increase of 18.7% from the same period in 2023.

The ELANTRA model also experienced growth with sales reaching 1,840 units in June compared to last year's figure of 1,649 units. However, some models like the SANTA FE and VENUE saw slight declines in their sales numbers.
