2024 Hyundai Alcazar Facelift SUV Launched In India At Rs 14.99 Lakh
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced the new Hyundai ALCAZAR, a premium SUV available in 6 and 7-seater configurations. Prices for the petrol variant of the new Alcazar facelift starts at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the diesel variants cost Rs 1 lakh more at Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mr Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, expressed excitement about the launch. He stated, "The bold new Hyundai ALCAZAR is a testament to this commitment. We are excited to launch the Intelligent, Versatile and Intense SUV that will further elevate grandness, comfort & convenience in the SUV segment. We are confident that the SUV will offer unique value propositions to our customers."
Design and Dimensions
The Hyundai ALCAZAR showcases Hyundai's Global Design identity of Sensuous Sportiness. It features a spacious and commanding presence on the road with its wider and taller stance. The SUV includes new H-shaped LED DRLs, quad-beam LED headlamps, an all-new hood design, and a rugged front bumper with a dark chrome grille.
The rear design complements the front with a new spoiler integrated stop lamp, connected LED taillamps, and a redesigned bumper and skid plate. The dimensions of the ALCAZAR are 4560 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1710 mm in height (with roof rails), with a wheelbase of 2760 mm.
Comfort and Convenience
Inside, the ALCAZAR offers dual-tone noble brown and haze navy interiors that exude sophistication. The 6-seater variant includes ventilated captain seats in the second row for added comfort. The 7-seater variant features a seat tumble mechanism for easy access to the third row.
The SUV is equipped with numerous comfort features such as thigh cushion extension, ventilated seats for both rows, power walk-in device, wing-type headrest, driver power seat memory function, and more. These features ensure maximum comfort during long journeys.
Advanced Technology
The ALCAZAR is packed with progressive technology aimed at redefining automotive convenience. It is HMIL's first vehicle to feature Digital Key with NFC technology. This allows users to lock/unlock the car using their smartphone or smartwatch by simply touching it against the door handle.
The SUV also boasts over 70 Bluelink connected car features along with smartwatch connectivity. It includes 270+ embedded VR commands supporting Hinglish and Hindi voice commands for enhanced user experience.
Performance
The Hyundai ALCAZAR offers two engine options: a dynamic 1.5-litre Turbo GDi Petrol engine delivering 117.5 kW (160 PS) Max Power and 253 Nm Max Torque; and a reliable 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel engine producing 85 kW (116 PS) Max Power and 250 Nm max torque.
The petrol engine comes with both a 6-speed manual transmission (17.5 km/l) and a 7-speed DCT transmission (18 km/l). The diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission (20.4 km/l) or a 6-speed automatic transmission (18.1 km/l).
Safety Features
Safety is paramount in the ALCAZAR which includes over 70 safety features such as Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS with attributes like Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor (SVM), Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist among others.
The strong body structure uses advanced high-strength steel for enhanced durability and crashworthiness. Standard safety features include six airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, all four disc brakes, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (Highline), Digital Key, Hill Descent Control among others.
Colours
The new Hyundai ALCAZAR is available in nine striking colours including Robust Emerald Matte, Titan Grey Matte, Robust Emerald, Starry Night, Ranger Khakhi, Fiery Red, Abyss Black, Atlas White along with one dual-tone option of Atlas White with Black Roof.
The vehicle offers peace of mind through its comprehensive warranty packages including three years unlimited kilometre warranty and Road Side Assistance (RSA). Customers can also opt for up to five years shield of trust running repair package or super periodic maintenance package along with up to seven years extended warranty options.
