2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Debuts In US: Comes With Enhanced Range & Rugged XRT Variant

Hyundai has introduced the 2025 Ioniq 5 in the US market, featuring new enhancements and a fresh XRT trim. This model now includes increased battery capacity and range, along with a NACS charging port for compatibility with Tesla's superchargers.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Range

The driving range for the Ioniq 5 AWD has been updated from 418km to a range between 400 and 450km, depending on the chosen trim, wheel, and tyre size. The RWD variants have also seen improvements. The SE, SEL, and Limited trims now offer over 498km, up from 487km. The SE Standard Range variant's range has increased from 354km to more than 386km.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5: Interior Updates

The interior of the Ioniq 5 has received several updates. It now features redesigned HVAC controls and a new centre console with physical heated front seat controls. Additionally, there is a new steering wheel and heated rear seats available on select variants.

The body structure has been reinforced in key areas to improve side collision protection. Additionally, eight airbags are included for added safety.

The new XRT variant joins the lineup between the standard model and the high-performance Ioniq 5 N. This variant features a more aggressive design with unique bumpers, stylish side skirts, and dedicated 18-inch aluminium wheels. Ground clearance has been increased and suspension retuned for better performance on rough roads.

The cabin of the XRT variant includes H-Tex seating surfaces with unique patterning specific to this trim, along with XRT badging and logos. A black headliner adds to its distinct interior look.
