Hotz And Mozzi Secure Victory At The 1000 Miglia Experience UAE 2024 In A Porsche
The 1000 Miglia Experience UAE, organised by Octanium Experiences, showcased a thrilling blend of desert landscapes and modern cityscapes. The event, held for the third consecutive year, combined the unique 1000 Miglia style with a format tailored to highlight the region's distinct features. Roland Hotz and Giordano Mozzi secured their third consecutive victory in the Emirates, navigating a 2017 Porsche 911 GT STREET R.
On December 2nd, marking the UAE's National Day, 90 crews embarked on their journey from Dubai's Emirates Golf Club. They concluded this leg at Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, known for its luxurious hotels and pristine beaches. The second leg involved ascending Jabel Jais Mountain, nearly 2000 metres high, where participants enjoyed lunch at the peak.
The third day saw participants exploring Khawr Fakkan before descending along Fujairah's coast. They then ventured inland for a traditional Bedouin lunch in the desert before returning to Fujairah to complete that day's leg. This mix of coastal and desert experiences offered a diverse driving adventure.
The final day featured a lap around the Dubai Autodrome before crews reached the finish line at Abu Dhabi's Ethiad Towers. A prize-giving ceremony by the sea concluded the event. This year's race highlighted both natural beauty and urban sophistication across various Emirates.
Adnan Nouh and Zyad Al Arfaj from Saudi Arabia claimed second place in a 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera MFI. Jeffrey Gault and Raffaele Conti finished third in their classic 1955 Jaguar XK 140. These podium finishes underscored the diverse range of vehicles participating in this prestigious event.
This year's edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE not only celebrated automotive excellence but also showcased the cultural richness of the United Arab Emirates. Participants experienced a unique blend of tradition and modernity throughout their journey across this vibrant region.
