Honda Racing Corporation Unveils New Business For Authentic Performance Parts At 2024 SEMA Show

Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) has announced a new venture to create performance parts for Honda and Acura vehicles. This initiative aims to cater to street, track, and off-road enthusiasts. HRC US, formerly Honda Performance Development (HPD), has been a leader in racing for over 30 years. The company plans to leverage its extensive experience to develop these parts.

Based on the positive response to the Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype at Monterey Car Week in August 2024, HRC is moving forward with this project. The new parts will utilise the expertise of HRC's championship-winning engineers. Prototypes are expected to be ready for testing as early as next year.

HRC will showcase nine vehicles at the SEMA show from November 5-8, 2024. Among them is the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 Formula 1 car. This display highlights HRC's role in supporting global Honda Formula 1 activities. The booth will be located in Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"At Honda, competition fuels our challenging spirit," said David Salters, president of HRC US. "We couldn't be more excited and challenged to apply the technical knowledge of our HRC race engineers to the vehicles our customers can enjoy."

The introduction of these performance parts aims to strengthen connections with Honda and Acura enthusiasts. Jon Ikeda, senior vice president of HRC US, stated that genuine HRC parts must meet high standards while enhancing vehicle performance and driving experience.

The new business venture will focus on creating authentic parts that improve both performance and ownership experience for customers. This aligns with Honda's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
