Honda Engineers Test The All-New 2026 Passport TrailSport On Challenging Off-Road Trails
The all-new Passport TrailSport from Honda is equipped with a robust DOHC 3.5-liter V6 engine and a high-strength 10-speed automatic transmission. It also features the top-tier torque vectoring i-VTM4™ all-wheel drive system as standard. This makes it the most adventure-ready SUV Honda has ever produced.
Honda engineers are rigorously testing the next-generation Passport TrailSport on challenging terrains across America. From Moab's red rocks to Michigan's sandy dunes and Appalachia's muddy trails, they ensure it meets high standards. The 2026 models of the Passport and Passport TrailSport will be unveiled this autumn, with availability at dealerships early next year.
Honda offers a wide range of vehicles known for being clean, safe, fun, and connected. These are sold through over 1,000 independent dealers in the U.S. The lineup includes popular models like the Civic and Accord, as well as SUVs such as the HR-V, CR-V, Passport, Prologue, and Pilot. Additionally, they offer the Ridgeline pickup and Odyssey minivan.
The electrified vehicle lineup from Honda includes the Prologue, which is their first battery-electric SUV. Other models include hybrid versions of the Accord, CR-V, and the new Civic hybrid. In 2023, these hybrids accounted for more than a quarter of Honda's auto sales.
For over four decades, Honda has been manufacturing automobiles in America. They currently operate 18 major manufacturing facilities across North America. In 2023, over 99% of Honda vehicles sold in the U.S. were made in North America. Approximately two-thirds of these were assembled in America using both domestic and globally sourced parts.
