As the festive season approaches, several car manufacturers have reported impressive sales figures for September. This article delves into the sales performance of various brands, highlighting their achievements and growth in the Indian market.

Honda's Sales Figures

Honda Cars India reported impressive total sales of 10,911 units for the month of September, showcasing a strong performance in both domestic and international markets. Among these sales, domestic sales contributed significantly, accounting for 5,675 units. Meanwhile, the company also made strides in its export operations, with a total of 5,236 units shipped to various international markets. This balanced approach has helped Honda maintain a solid foothold in the competitive automotive sector.

Kia India's Impressive Growth

Kia India wrapped up September with impressive domestic sales that topped 23,523 units. This achievement highlights a remarkable 17% increase when compared to the previous year's sales figures, which stood at 20,022 units. The facelifted Sonet played a significant role in this success, emerging as Kia's best-selling model in the Indian market. It alone contributed a substantial 10,335 units to the overall sales tally, showcasing its popularity among consumers.

In addition to the Sonet's success, other models also performed well, with the Seltos and Carens enjoying solid sales figures of 6,959 and 6,217 units respectively. This diverse lineup demonstrates Kia's strong presence in the Indian automotive market, offering a variety of options that cater to different customer preferences.

Mahindra's Continued Dominance

Mahindra Automotive has showcased remarkable performance in September, achieving impressive sales figures of 51,062 SUVs, a significant increase from the 41,267 SUVs sold during the same month last year. This surge in sales translates to a noteworthy growth rate of 24%, demonstrating the brand's resilience and appeal in a competitive market.

Furthermore, when considering the fiscal year leading up to September, Mahindra's sales figures continue to rise, with a total of 2.6 lakh units sold compared to 2.1 lakh units during the same period in FY24. This achievement amounts to a commendable growth rate of 21%. A significant factor contributing to this upward trajectory is the successful launch of the XUV3XO compact SUV, which has resonated well with consumers and bolstered the brand's presence in the SUV segment.

Toyota Motor's Steady Performance

Toyota Kirloskar Motor had a commendable sales run in September with total sales reaching 26,847 units. This is a 14% increase compared to the same month last year. According to Toyota, over 90% of these sales were from SUVs, MPVs, and small segment cars.

The automotive industry is witnessing robust growth as manufacturers gear up for the festive season. With new launches and strategic marketing efforts, brands are aiming to capture a larger share of the market in the coming months.
