Honda India Launches New Extended Warranty Scheme For Petrol And Hybrid Vehicles, Enhancing Customer Support
Honda India has introduced a new extended warranty scheme for its petrol and hybrid vehicles, including some discontinued models. This initiative offers a seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty but excludes diesel models that are no longer in production. The program is available exclusively to private customers, excluding taxi and fleet vehicles.
All current Honda models, such as the Amaze, City (both petrol and hybrid), and the Elevate, are eligible for this package. Additionally, owners of discontinued models like the Civic, Jazz, and WR-V can also participate if their vehicle is already under Honda's extended warranty program.
Honda Extended Warranty Program: Eligibility and Details
Existing Honda customers can opt for this extended warranty within two years from the purchase date. There are further options available until the standard warranty period ends. Those with a four or five-year extended warranty can extend it to seven years or 150,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable if the owner sells the vehicle.
The cost of extending the warranty from the fourth to seventh year varies by model and purchase timing. For instance, City petrol-CVT owners will pay Rs 28,300 if they buy within 60 days of acquiring the standard extended warranty. For the Elevate CVT, prices start at Rs 31,100, while for the Amaze, it begins at Rs 24,200.
Pricing and Availability
Complete price lists for these extended warranties are now accessible through dealers. It's important to note that this offer is only for private buyers; commercial vehicles do not qualify. Besides Honda, other manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and Hyundai also provide extended warranties up to six years based on the model.
