Honda Civic Type R Retains Hot Hatch Crown At Auto Express 2024 Awards

The Honda Civic Type R has once again been named Hot Hatch of the Year at the 2024 Auto Express New Car Awards. Additionally, the Honda Civic e:HEV received commendations in both the Affordable Hybrid Car of the Year and Family Car of the Year categories.

Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda UK, expressed pride in these achievements. "Honda is incredibly proud to see the Civic Type R once again honoured as Hot Hatch of the Year and the Civic e:HEV highly commended in two significant categories," she said. The sixth-generation Type R has been refined to deliver its most thrilling performance yet. This accolade reinforces its status as a top hot hatch and showcases Honda’s racing heritage.
