Honda Civic Si Triumphs In TCA Class At Sebring International Raceway
Alex Garcia experienced a remarkable weekend, not only celebrating his college graduation but also clinching victory at the Sebring International Raceway during the second round of the SRO Touring Car America and Fanatec GT World Challenge America championships. Driving his Honda Civic Si, Garcia made an impressive debut in the TCA class by swiftly moving from 4th to 1st place in the initial laps, ultimately securing the win and earning the Super Fuel Hard Charger award.
Simultaneously, the Acura Integra Type S DE5 showcased its capabilities on the track for the second time. Celso Neto achieved a third-consecutive podium finish for Acura in the TCX class during Saturday's race. Starting from the front row, Neto maintained his position through most of the race, despite a brief off-track excursion, finishing 4th. Cooper Broll also delivered a notable performance in the Integra, vying for a podium spot in Sunday's race until a last-lap collision with another driver led to both cars crashing into the barriers.
The Racer's Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 EVO22 faced challenges in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America. Despite a promising start with a 3rd place qualification, track conditions and heat affected the car's setup, resulting in a 7th overall finish and 4th in the Pro class on Saturday. Adjustments were made for Sunday's race, improving their position to 7th place, though an unfortunate contact from behind hindered further advancement.
