Honda Achieves Best Car Brand Recognition From U.S. News & World Report For Fourth Year Running

Honda has been awarded the "Best Car Brand" title by U.S. News & World Report for 2025, marking its fourth consecutive win. The accolade highlights Honda's excellence in performance, interior quality, safety, and reliability across its passenger car models like the Civic and Accord. These models have consistently impressed with their hybrid-electric variants, aligning with Honda's electrification strategy.

The Civic and Accord hybrids are pivotal to Honda's push towards electrification. The award-winning fourth-generation two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain powers these models. Currently, over half of Accord sales are hybrid-electric trims, while the new Civic hybrid is expected to account for about 40% of Civic sales. This year, more than 25% of Honda's total brand sales are from hybrid-electric vehicles.

Honda Wins Best Car Brand Award Again

The 11th-generation Civic stands out as a significant success for Honda. It serves as an entry point to the brand and is particularly popular among Gen Z, first-time buyers, and multicultural customers in America. Since 1973, the Civic has been America's best-selling compact car.

The 11th-generation Accord also plays a crucial role in maintaining brand loyalty for Honda. It is the most popular midsize vehicle among Millennials, Gen Z, first-time buyers, and multicultural customers in America. This popularity underscores its importance in Honda's lineup.

U.S. News' Best Vehicle Brands Awards evaluate 38 brands across four key segments: cars, SUVs, trucks, and luxury vehicles. The awards honour automakers that excel in performance, interior quality, safety, and reliability. Winners are determined by averaging scores from U.S. News Best Cars rankings based on data like safety ratings and automotive press opinions.

Honda's Manufacturing Footprint

Honda has a strong manufacturing presence in North America with 18 major facilities. In 2023, over 99% of Honda vehicles sold in the U.S. were made in North America using both domestic and globally sourced parts. About two-thirds of these were produced in America.

Honda offers a diverse range of vehicles through over 1,000 independent U.S. dealers. Its lineup includes the Civic and Accord alongside SUVs like HR-V and CR-V, the Ridgeline pickup truck, and the Odyssey minivan. The electrified lineup features models such as the all-electric Prologue SUV and hybrid versions of Accord and CR-V.

The U.S. News awards highlight brands that captivate car buyers with desirable attributes like performance and safety. Honda's consistent recognition underscores its commitment to delivering quality vehicles that meet consumer expectations across various segments.
