Honda’s Electric Vision: 0 Series Concept Models Secure Top Red Dot Awards In 2024
Honda has announced that its flagship concept model, the Saloon, from the Honda 0 Series, has received the prestigious 'Red Dot: Best of the Best 2024' award. Another concept model from the same series, the Space-Hub, was also recognised as a Red Dot winner in the Design Concept competition.
The Honda 0 Series represents a significant shift for Honda under its new Global Brand Slogan, The Power of Dreams. This all-electric vehicle series debuted globally at CES 2024 in the U.S. The Saloon stands out as the flagship model, embodying Honda's new EV development approach – Thin, Light, and Wise – aimed at creating unique value for electric vehicles.
The exterior design of the Saloon features a one-motion form with a line rising smoothly from front to rear. Its low and wide design expresses both suppleness and dynamism. The upright side glass design creates an expansive side panel, while narrowing towards the side sills to highlight the tires. Inside, it boasts a simple and intuitive human-machine interface (HMI) that offers a sophisticated user experience.
The Space-Hub concept model embodies Honda's "M/M concept" and aims to provide new value for EVs as a "space" for people. With a spacious cabin and excellent visibility based on the "Thin, Light, and Wise" approach, it offers flexible space that adapts to users' needs. It serves as a hub connecting people to each other and society.
The exterior of the Space-Hub follows the Honda 0 Series design concept called "The Art of Resonance," featuring bold proportions that evoke new perspectives. Like the Saloon, its interior includes a simple HMI and maximises cabin space for comfort and freedom.
