Hennessey Launches Venom F5-M Roadster: Peak Of Manual Hypercar Power
Hennessey Special Vehicles, based in Texas, has unveiled plans for its most engaging hypercar yet – the Venom F5-M Roadster. This model is set to be the world's most powerful manual production car, featuring a six-speed gated manual transmission. The re-engineered Venom F5-M aims to enhance the driving experience by focusing on driver engagement and sensory feedback.
The Venom F5-M Roadster boasts significant interior and exterior modifications, including unique aerodynamic enhancements. One of the standout features is a 55-inch dorsal fin extending from the roof-mounted air scoop to the rear deck's trailing edge. Inside, the redesigned cockpit highlights an elevated aluminum and carbon fiber gear shifter, positioned close to the driver for optimal shifting.
John Hennessey, founder and CEO of Hennessey Special Vehicles, expressed his enthusiasm: "We are so excited to offer the Venom F5-M Roadster – the world’s most powerful manual. We always wanted to build a manual Venom F5 – and it’s something our clients have been asking for. It’s old school, it’s badass, and it offers ultimate driving engagement."
Only 12 units of the Venom F5-M Roadster will be produced, all of which have already been sold. Each car is priced at $2.65 million and features exclusive livery options unique to this model range. Customers can personalise their vehicles with one-off colours and bespoke carbon fiber treatments, ensuring each car stands out.
Nathan Malinick, Hennessey's Director of Design, commented on the car's design: "We’re extreme, we’re authentic, plus we’re distinctly and uniquely American. These characteristics shine through in the design of the F5-M, inside and out, and in how it performs."
Performance Optimization
Hennessey's engineering team worked meticulously to pair the Fury V8 engine's 1,817 bhp with new gearing ratios for maximum exhilaration. The team balanced thrill with control by ensuring power delivery is manageable as speed increases. This setup guarantees devastating acceleration while maintaining control via rear-wheel drive.
Brian Jones, Hennessey's engineering expert, collaborated with the calibration team to remap the engine for this new configuration. The result is a hypercar that offers an intense driving experience by combining captivating interaction with full-sensory feedback.
Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail
The Venom F5-M Roadster exemplifies Hennessey's commitment to craftsmanship and detail. The gear shifter sits within a six-speed gate milled from billet aluminum, reflecting Hennessey's dedication to creating a tactile connection between driver and machine. This meticulous attention extends throughout the vehicle's design.
The new open-top manual hypercar builds on Hennessey's legacy of record-breaking performance. The Venom GT Spyder still holds the world record for fastest convertible road car at 265.6 mph since 2016.
Exclusive Ownership Experience
The design process for each Venom F5-M Roadster is carried out at Hennessey's headquarters in Sealy, Texas. The company has already delivered 24 semi-auto Venom F5 models globally. Each owner of these limited-edition roadsters enjoys a unique colour scheme that ensures total exclusivity.
