Hagerty Announces Festival Of The Unexceptional 10th Anniversary Hang Out At Bicester Heritage Clubhouse
Hagerty is set to mark a decade of its Festival of the Unexceptional (FOTU) with a special Hangout event on Tuesday, 11th June at the Hagerty Clubhouse, Bicester Heritage. The event, starting at 18.00, welcomes mundane and ordinary cars of any age, with tickets priced at £5 per car.
The main FOTU event will take place at Grimsthorpe Castle on Saturday, 27th July. This unique festival celebrates everyday classic cars, particularly those from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that were once common but are now rarer than Italian supercars.
Hagerty's Festival of the Unexceptional is renowned for showcasing ordinary classic cars in a traditional concours setting. The event honours base models that may have been overlooked in their time but now hold a special place in enthusiasts' hearts.
This year's 10th Anniversary event at Grimsthorpe Castle will highlight these often-forgotten vehicles. The festival remains the only event globally that celebrates such cars, recognising the effort and investment required to keep them on the road.
Pre-Event Hangout
The pre-event Hangout on 11th June offers a relaxed environment for owners of unexceptional cars to gather. Any base model motor from the 1960s to 2024 is welcome. With tickets at £5 per car, attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family for an enjoyable evening.
Food and drink will be available, along with a preview of the new 2024 FOTU merchandise. The most unexceptional car of the night will receive a detailing kit, and Hagerty ambassador Paul Cowland will reveal the 50 cars chosen for the Concours lawn at FOTU 2024.
