Guild Award Offers £500 Prize For Outstanding Business Journalism In The UK Auto Industry
Members of the Guild of Motoring Writers who specialise in business media, both online and in print, have a chance to win a £500 cash prize and a trophy. This opportunity is part of the Prova PR Business Writer of the Year Award. However, participants must submit their entries by 30 September.
The judges are looking for articles that clearly explain the complexities of the UK's automotive industry. Last year, Jonathan Manning won the award for his insightful article on cyber attacks. Richard Postins from Prova PR, who established the award, presented it to him. Tom Geggus and Tim Wallace also received commendations from the judges.

Entrants can submit up to three articles by midnight on Monday, 30 September. The best submissions will form a shortlist of finalists announced in mid-November. The awards will be presented at the Guild’s annual gala dinner at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall this December.
For those interested in participating, detailed entry instructions and rules are available at the Guild's website. It is crucial for candidates to review these guidelines thoroughly before submitting their work.
If there are any questions regarding the entry process or if one wishes to apply for Guild membership, they should reach out to Honorary Secretary Richard Netherwood via email at [email protected].
The award aims to recognise writers who can deliver well-researched content that provides valuable insights into the business aspects of the automotive sector. This recognition not only honours individual achievements but also highlights important industry issues.
For additional information about the awards, Richard Netherwood can be contacted at [email protected]. Participants are encouraged to ensure their submissions meet all criteria and deadlines to be considered for this prestigious accolade.
