This philanthropic gesture aims to bolster STEAM education initiatives within the region. The Everglades Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida are the beneficiaries of this generous donation, each receiving $10,000 to support their educational programs. The announcement was made in Clermont, Florida, marking a pivotal moment for local educational development.
Claudia Marquez, Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Motor North America, expressed the company's enthusiasm for its new permanent base in Central Florida and its commitment to actively support the local community. This investment in STEAM education coincides with the grand opening of Genesis of Central Florida, underlining the brand's dedication to fostering educational growth and opportunities for youth in the area.
The Everglades Literacy Program, established in 2014 by The Everglades Foundation, stands as a comprehensive educational initiative aimed at PreK-12 students. It focuses on the intricate connections between water, habitats, plants, and animals, offering a curriculum that extends beyond the confines of the Everglades. With more than 6,000 teachers across 30 school districts in Florida already benefiting from this program, the support from Genesis Gives is set to further enhance environmental education efforts in Orlando and beyond.
