Genesis Achieves Top Spot In J.D. Power Tech Innovation Study Once Again
Genesis has been recognised as the top brand overall and in the premium segment by J.D. Power in the 2024 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study for the fourth consecutive year. The brand achieved an Innovation Index score of 584, thanks to its advanced technologies across its product lineup.
The Genesis GV70 SUV received accolades for its front cross traffic warning technology, known as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), in the premium category. This system uses a front view camera and radars to detect potential collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, powered two-wheelers, and cyclists, applying brakes if necessary to prevent accidents.
Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, stated, "Genesis is committed to putting our customers’ needs first by offering intuitive technologies that enhance the driving experience." She added that their goal is to make vehicle ownership a personalised experience, delighting customers with innovative and tailored technologies.
The TXI Study evaluates automotive brands on a 1,000-point scale based on the effectiveness of emerging technologies they introduce. It combines the adoption level of new technologies with excellence in execution, which includes how much owners like these technologies and the problems they encounter using them.
The FCA system is a comprehensive monitoring tool designed to warn drivers of potential collisions. It employs a front view camera along with front and front corner radars to detect various obstacles. This technology aims to enhance safety by preventing accidents through timely warnings and automatic braking.
The TXI Study analyses 40 different technologies divided into four categories: convenience, emerging automation, energy and sustainability, and infotainment and connectivity. This comprehensive approach ensures a thorough evaluation of each brand's technological advancements.
