Genesis Inspiration Foundation Awards $3 Million In Grants To Support Youth Arts Education Nationwide
The Genesis Inspiration Foundation has allocated $3 million in grants to 50 organisations across the United States to enhance youth arts education. This annual initiative aims to support various art forms, including dance, drawing, and sculpture, fostering creativity and achievement among young learners.
"When children are actively engaged in any art form – whether it’s dancing, drawing, sculpting, or more – it unlocks creativity, it inspires, and it leads to greater achievement inside and outside the classroom," said John Guastaferro, executive director of Genesis Inspiration Foundation. "There is nothing that compares to a quality arts education, yet this is something that many kids don’t have access to. Genesis Inspiration Foundation is dedicated to bringing arts programming to local communities because we believe all children deserve to experience the benefits that the arts can have in their lives."
Established in 2018, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation addresses the need for quality art education nationwide. A portion of each vehicle sale at Genesis retailers funds these efforts. With additional backing from Genesis Motor America, total contributions have reached $10 million.
Art education offers numerous benefits for children. It aids emotional and cognitive growth, reduces stress levels, and enhances academic performance. The foundation supports diverse art programs aiming to reach as many young people as possible.
The foundation's grant recipients span various states and cities. Notable beneficiaries include Uniting Voices Chicago in Illinois and Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery. Other organisations like Free Arts Arizona in Phoenix also benefit from these grants.
