Genesis House Collaborates With Jeff Leatham For The BLOOMTANICA Floral And Digital Art Exhibition
Genesis House in New York City has recently introduced BLOOMTANICA, a captivating floral exhibition in collaboration with the esteemed floral artist Jeff Leatham. This innovative showcase merges the physical with the digital, featuring Leatham's distinctive designs alongside dynamic LED installations. Drawing inspiration from Korean heritage and the picturesque gardens of Seoul, BLOOMTANICA presents a fantastical realm of floral reflections and digital immersion. The collaboration signifies a pivotal moment in Leatham's career, marking his inaugural venture into a physical-meets-digital floral installation.
Upon entering Genesis House, visitors are met with an array of cascading monochromatic floral arrangements and surreal digital content that highlight the architectural elegance of the showroom. The chosen color scheme, which includes shades of deep purple, lavender, plum, and bright orange, is inspired by Leatham's favored Vanda Orchid and the nocturnal sky of Korea. The experience progresses to the Cellar Stage, where vibrant flowers and mirrored columns offer an enveloping experience. Here, LED technology illustrates the lifecycle of flowers, complemented by mirrored columns that lead guests through this reflective oasis to a digital floral spectacle. The palette for this stage is influenced by Korea's national flower and the Jeju Island magma tubes, crafting a multisensory journey reminiscent of Seoul.
The exhibition culminates on the second-floor restaurant level, where floral motifs are intricately integrated into the bar area of the dining room. Here, visitors can savor custom-themed floral cocktails. Through BLOOMTANICA, Genesis House and Jeff Leatham aspire to provide New Yorkers with an unparalleled opportunity to explore the synergy between nature and technology. The exhibition is accessible to the public from May 2 to June 9.
