Genesis GV80 Coupe Wins Luxury Vehicle Of The Year At 2024 Hispanic Motor Press Awards
The Genesis GV80 Coupe has been awarded the title of Luxury Vehicle of the Year at the 2024 Hispanic Motor Press Awards. This marks the fourth consecutive win for Genesis, following previous victories with the Electrified GV70 in 2023, GV70 in 2022, and GV80 in 2021. The awards celebrate vehicles that excel in styling, technology, safety, environmental impact, driver satisfaction, mechanical reliability, and value.
Claudia Márquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, expressed delight at the recognition. "The first-ever GV80 Coupe is the perfect blend of coupe DNA and SUV prowess," she stated. Márquez emphasized that this acknowledgment reinforces their dedication to providing vehicles with strong emotional appeal to a diverse consumer base across the United States.
The GV80 Coupe stands out with its combination of utility and sporty design elements. It features a 27-inch OLED integrated instrument cluster and navigation touchscreen as standard. Other highlights include 20-inch sport alloy wheels, Nappa leather seating surfaces, power heated and ventilated second-row seats, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Bang & Olufsen® premium audio system, panoramic sunroof, head-up display, and Genesis Digital Key.
The vehicle is equipped with Genesis’ advanced driver assistance systems. These include Surround View Monitor, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist. Such features enhance safety and convenience for drivers.
Ricardo Rodriguez Long, president of the Hispanic Motor Press, praised Genesis for redefining luxury by offering high-quality materials and outstanding performance. The GV80 Coupe received 70 percent of judges' votes, highlighting its appeal among affluent families who test drive it.
