Genesis G70 Triumphs With Top Honours At 2024 Texas Auto Roundup
The Genesis G70 has garnered multiple accolades from the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) during the 2024 Texas Auto Roundup. The awards include Vehicle of Texas, best overall interior, best overall exterior, highest personal appeal, best luxury car, and best performance sedan. This achievement marks a two-year streak for Genesis, with models like the G70, G90, GV60, and GV70 also receiving top honours.
TAWA's team of experts evaluated each vehicle on a sliding scale across various categories such as performance and value. This comprehensive assessment propelled Genesis to the forefront of its class. Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, stated that the G70 sport sedan combines athletic elegance with high standards of performance, design, and comfort.
The newly enhanced G70 is designed with consumers in mind. It offers an improved driving experience with standard Brembo brakes and added convenience features. The interior cabin experience has been a focal point, featuring rain-sensing wipers, ventilated front seats, Lexicon® premium audio, a dark chrome grille, and a wide sunroof.
Testing and Voting Process
Automotive journalists and content creators across Texas tested a variety of the latest vehicles at this year's event. TAWA members evaluated vehicles within their category and among the entire group present. Votes were based on each vehicle’s interior, exterior, value, performance, and overall personal appeal. The votes were electronically submitted and calculated by a third-party accounting firm before being presented to TAWA.
