General Motors (GM) has achieved the highest number of model-level awards in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study, with six models recognised across various categories. Over half of GM's models also rank within the top three in their respective segments. This study, now in its 38th year, is based on feedback from nearly 100,000 new vehicle owners and lessees surveyed after three months of ownership.

Antonio Francavilla, GM's vice president for Global Quality, Supplier Quality and Operational Excellence, stated, "Quality is a priority for GM and earning the most awards in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. IQS Study of any automaker reflects that commitment." He added that as GM moves towards an all-electric future, they are continually improving quality at every stage of product development and customer interaction.
