British Craftsmanship On Display: Frontline LE60 MGB Restomod To Debut In The USA
Frontline Cars (Frontline) is set to debut its celebrated, V8-powered, limited edition LE60 in the USA at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and other events during Monterey Car Week. Established in 1991, the UK-based company is known for its handcrafted restomods that transform MGBs into analogue-focused masterpieces.
Founder and Chief Engineer Tim Fenna established Frontline with a mission to elevate classic MG cars. Over 30 years later, the company remains dedicated to bespoke, hand-made builds that preserve automotive heritage while incorporating modern technology. This year marks the centenary of MG and 60 years of the MGB.

The LE60 will be showcased alongside a USA-specific Frontline Bespoke roadster demonstrator at Monterey Car Week from 9 – 18 August. This event provides an ideal platform for Frontline to present its best analogue sports cars to an American audience. The LE60 has already been driven on customer tours and unveiled at prestigious locations.
Tim Fenna expressed his excitement about attending Monterey Car Week: "Attending Monterey Car Week has been a dream for us for many years. There's a deep appreciation for classic British sports cars in America, as well as big V8 engines, and we’re excited to bring our car to this passionate audience."
The LE60 is Frontline’s most powerful car ever built, featuring a modernised 4.8-litre Rover V8 engine producing 375 bhp. Limited to just 30 bespoke builds worldwide, it commemorates 60 years of the MGB and 30 years of Frontline. The car boasts a widened track, strengthened chassis, custom suspension by Nitron, and near-perfect weight distribution.
Frontline’s participation in The Quail and select Car Week events highlights its commitment to the American market. With many American customers already, this investment includes a renewed sales and aftersales function to deliver top-notch customer service and experience.
Bespoke Craftsmanship
Each Frontline creation is tailored to the client’s preferences—from suspension setup to paint and trim. Whether opting for the LE60 Factory Edition or any Bespoke versions, customers receive a personalised experience akin to purchasing a Saville Row suit. Manufacturing remains in the UK, but Frontline ensures American customers receive exceptional service.
The LE60 features rear-wheel drive with a five-speed manual gearbox, enhancing its driving experience. It includes a limited-slip differential and robust braking system with six-piston alloy front brakes and four-piston alloy rear brakes housed under larger 16-inch Dunlop-style alloy wheels.
A Legacy of Innovation
Building on the success of previous models like the LE50 and Abingdon Editions, the LE60 combines touring and sports car qualities. Frontline’s dedication to high-performance analogue sports cars ensures that the essence of the beloved British marque continues in modern times.
In addition to showcasing their vehicles at Monterey Car Week, Frontline will offer pre-booked test drives and customer demonstrations of their USA-specific roadster demonstrator. Customers interested in discussing or booking a test drive can contact [email protected].
