Formula DRIFT Driven Experience Welcomes Chick-fil-A As New 2024 Partner
Chick-fil-A has joined forces with the US Air Force, the University of Northwestern Ohio, and Acceler8 Education to inspire young adults through motorsports. The new Formula DRIFT Driven Experience began with the 2024 competition season, aiming to introduce school-age kids to motorsports and potential career paths. The program has already welcomed 300 students to the opening round in Long Beach and 120 to the recent Formula DRIFT Atlanta round.
The Formula DRIFT Driven Experience combines several specialist partners, including Acceler8 Education. As the Official Community Outreach Program of the series, it has already helped more than 1000 at-risk youth discover fulfilling career opportunities. Acceler8 coordinates with local schools and groups at each of the eight rounds of the 2024 FD season.
The United States Air Force, a major series sponsor, supports the Driven Experience alongside the University of Northwestern Ohio, which highlights its higher education opportunities, including its High Performance Motorsports program. Chick-fil-A has also joined the initiative, providing meals for all students in Atlanta and offering a tour of its Support Center located at its national corporate headquarters.
At Round 2 of the 2024 Formula DRIFT PRO Championship, students received a VIP experience. They met teams and drivers to understand what it takes to compete at the highest level and participated in a track walk to grasp the challenges faced by drivers. The students then enjoyed watching 1200hp professional drift cars tackle the high-speed Road Atlanta course.
Ryan Sage, President of Formula DRIFT, expressed delight at the early success of the Formula DRIFT Driven Experience and welcomed Chick-fil-A's support. "Providing lunches for the students is a tremendous help to the Driven Experience," he said.
Free Participation
Thanks to its supporters' generosity, the 2024 Driven Experience is free for both students and schools. Acceler8 and Formula DRIFT will continue managing operations at the remaining six rounds of the 2024 season. Acceler8 team members, assisted by Air Force and FD staff, will supervise activities, manage sign-ups, and handle event logistics to ensure student attendance.
Each participant will receive a swag bag with promotional items. The Formula DRIFT Driven Experience is open to schools and organizations in regions surrounding each event. Interested parties can contact [email protected] for more information or to sign up.
